Pre-Professional Auditions 2026-2027

The Heart has been training dancers in the Yukon for over 20 years. Our Pre Professional Intensive Dance Program is where the most committed young dancers in the city train together. Ten or more hours a week, Monday to Friday, building real skill alongside a culture of mutual respect, artistic ambition, and community.

This is a full program, not a drop-in or a recreational class. Dancers commit to the full season, to each other, and to the work. The results speak for themselves: two major productions at the Yukon Arts Centre each year, guest artists from across Canada, an annual dance education trip to Montreal, and for graduating dancers, New York City.

We train in two streams:

STUDIO STYLES – Focus and Fly

Training in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz
Grades 6 to 12

STREET STYLES – Rhythm Riders and Krush Groove

Training in Breaking, Hip Hop, House
Grades 6 to 12
