The Heart of Riverdale invites applications for a permanent, full-time position combining Arts Programming Support and Dance Instruction (Jazz/Contemporary).

The Heart of Riverdale Community Centre in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking a dynamic and passionate arts instructor to join our vibrant team of artists and educators.
About The Heart of Riverdale
The Heart of Riverdale is a multidisciplinary arts-based community centre located in the stunning mountain valley city of Whitehorse, Yukon. Surrounded by pristine wilderness, The Heart provides youth with opportunities to learn, create, and perform in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Artistic Director and creative team in executing arts programming and performances.
- Contribute to implementing the artistic vision of the leadership team through teaching, programming, and production support.
- Teach jazz and contemporary dance classes to children and youth.
- Choreograph works for student showcases and community performances.
- Collaborate across departments to support The Heart’s mission and events.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in dance, arts administration, or a related field.
- Experience in arts administration, production, or operations management.
- Professional dance and choreography background.
- Experience teaching dance to youth (group and private lessons).
- Supervisory or coordination experience is an asset.
Compensation
$48,000 – $55,000 annually (CAD)
Extended health care after 3 months and paid vacation.
