Riley Simpson-Fowler

Riley grew up breaking in the Yukon as part of GWS Crew. What started in Whitehorse eventually took him across Canada and the United States, with trips to Europe, to battle, train and connect with other breaking communities.

Since 2016, Riley has organized Cypherfest, bringing breakers and artists from across Canada and around the world to the Yukon. At The Heart, he also leads digital engagement and marketing, working across social media, newsletters, the website, show promotion, photo and video, and the visual materials that support The Heart’s programs, productions and events.

His work is rooted in creating opportunities for artists to train, exchange, perform and connect, while helping document and share the work happening at The Heart and in the Yukon arts community.
