Summer is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to bring you eight incredible weeks of creativity, movement, and fun at The Heart of Riverdale’s Summer Camps! Designed for kids entering Kindergarten through Grade 6, our arts-based camps give campers the chance to explore dance, music, and visual arts, all while making new friends and having a blast.
Each week has a unique theme, sparking imagination and creativity in exciting new ways. Campers will spend their days learning music through instruments and rhythm, exploring movement through dance, and expressing themselves through hands-on art projects. At the end of each week, they’ll showcase everything they’ve created to family and friends in a special performance in our Blackbox Theatre!
We know how important it is to keep young campers energized! While you’re welcome to pack extra snacks, we’ve got meals covered – each camp includes a nutritious meal plan with two snacks and lunch provided daily.
Campers will dive into different cultures through music, dance, and art, learning new rhythms, styles, and traditions from around the world. The week wraps up with a showcase to celebrate everything they’ve learned.

From the sandy shores to the ocean floor, this week is all about bringing the sea to life through rhythm, movement, and creativity. Campers will explore the sounds of the sea, create stunning marine-inspired art, and showcase their talents in a splashy end-of-week performance!

Get ready to travel through time! From dinosaurs to the future, campers will explore different eras through music, movement, and art. Whether they’re drumming like a caveman, dancing at a medieval feast, or creating futuristic inventions, this week is a journey like no other!

Once upon a time, a group of creative campers set off on a fairytale adventure! This week, they’ll use music, movement, and art to explore magical lands, defeat imaginary dragons, and tell legendary stories. The grand finale? A dazzling storybook-inspired showcase for all to enjoy!

Blast off into a week of cosmic creativity and intergalactic adventure! Campers will journey through the stars, exploring the vastness of space through music, movement, and art. With endless galaxies to discover and new worlds to imagine, the week ends with a stellar performance that’s truly out of this world!

This week, campers will step into the animal kingdom, using music, dance, and art to embody their favorite creatures. Whether they’re gliding like birds, drumming like elephants, or painting colorful wildlife, the adventure ends with a spectacular nature-inspired showcase!

Get ready for a week of non-stop fun and excitement! Campers will explore the world of the carnival and circus through lively music, dance, and art projects that are sure to spark creativity. The grand finale? A show-stopping carnival performance that will leave everyone in awe!

Required Supplies
- BACKPACK! (to carry snacks or water bottle on outings)
- INDOOR SHOES
- SWEATER/weather appropriate clothing
- WATER BOTTLE
- EXTRA CHANGE OF CLOTHES (This can be left at the heart for the week. These items are mandatory since the chance of getting wet or dirty outside is high!) - SOCKS, SHIRT, PANTS, UNDERWEAR
- Your own sketchbook or reading book for free time (ELECTRONICS ARE NOT PERMITTED)
